Pond & Wildlife Garden
Grasses, knautia and still water
A natural pond framed by soft grasses and pollinator planting, humming with life all summer.
The pond was the starting point here. Everything else in the garden was designed to lead you towards it and to make it feel like it had always been there.
Stone edging and reclaimed setts blur the line between path, lawn and water, while a curved border of stipa grasses softens the whole scene and moves constantly in the breeze.
The planting is chosen with wildlife in mind: crimson knautia, hardy geraniums, cistus and camassia, backed by mature hedging and a young multi-stem tree for height and dappled shade.
