Family Terrace Garden

Made for long lunches

A sociable stone terrace wrapped in planting, opening out to the fields beyond.

Family Terrace Garden in Norfolk

The brief was simple: somewhere to feed a lot of people, with a garden that looks after itself the rest of the time.

A generous stone terrace sits inside a low curved brick and cobble wall, big enough for a full table and chairs and sheltered enough to use from spring to autumn.

Planting softens every edge, with alliums, plumbago-blue perennials, yellow genista and silver foliage tumbling over the walls, and the borders opening out to views across the fields.
